Mammographer Supervisor—Full Time Days

Radiology Breast Center department is looking for a RAD Mammographer Supervisor. Is that you?

Work location : Texas Health Dallas Margot Perot Building, 8160 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full-Time/40hr weekdays and occasional weekends

Radiology Breast Center Department highlights :

· One of THR’s largest ACR Breast Centers of Excellence

· Our team on highly experienced mammographers average 13 years with THD

· The THD Breast Center was the first in North Texas to commercially offer 3D Tomosynthesis imaging.

· Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 125 patients/day

· Part of a robust Breast Care Program Accredited by the ACR, NAPBC and COC

· Ranked 90 th Percentile in Patient Satisfaction for Overall Care since 2017.

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED

EDUCATION

· Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or

· Associate Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 Years experience in specialty discipline of Mammography required AND

  • Previous Team Lead or Supervisory experience preferred

  • QC Mammographer required

  • Accreditation (ACR) and MQSA inspections experience preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

· CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required AND

· ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography upon hire require AND

· ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT, M, MR, N or S if ARRT Upon Hire Required OR

· CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Upon Hire Required OR

· ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers in three modalities Upon Hire Req AND

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Direct Patient Care:

· Performs mammograms and diagnostic radiographs.

· Produce quality images in mammography as defined by the American College of Radiology guidelines.

Quality Assurance/Control:

· Staff supervision and coordination of daily department activities.

· Mammography: Phantom images, visual inspections, compression checks, screen contract, peer reviews, monthly check list for all mammography units.

· Equipment Maintenance:

· Diagnostic Radiology: Visual inspections for the R F, Tomo, mammo rooms and apron and glove leak checks, screen contact, peer review and technologist peer review.

Non-Direct Patient Care:

· Documentation: Accurately enters patient data in RIS system for patient tracking and patient exam verification (billing of exam).

· Training, Education, and Team Support:

· Assists in implementing and monitoring performance evaluation procedures, establishing professional development goals,
