Tonti Maintenance Internship in Dallas, Texas

Tonti Properties, a privately held real estate company, is seeking a Maintenance Intern to join our team. This role will provide hands-on training in the maintenance field and assist with daily maintenance operations at Tonti Properties. With over 60 years of experience in the industry, Tonti Properties is committed to providing exceptional quality and service to their residents. The Maintenance Intern will play a crucial role in upholding this commitment by assisting in various maintenance tasks across Tonti Properties. Upon completion of the Internship, full-time employment options may be available.

Required to be a student at a high school or a technical school.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily maintenance operations such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as changing filters and testing smoke detectors

  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the property and its grounds

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner

  • Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies

  • Collaborate effectively with other maintenance team members to ensure the efficient completion of tasks

  • Uphold the company's commitment to exceptional quality and service

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a maintenance-related program at an accredited institution

  • Understanding of basic maintenance tasks and repair processes

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and on-call hours as needed
