Insight Global Lead Network Engineer in Dallas, Texas

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Lead Network Engineer to join a multinational conglomerate with presence in information technology, electronics, power systems, social infrastructure, industrial systems, and construction machinery. As the Lead Network Engineer, you will be responsible for providing guidance, advising best practices, and giving instructions for technical strategy and configuration in line with tech modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will be a SME on hardware and software configurations and have the ability to write and manage operational plans. This role requires a deep understanding of Network concepts, including IT and OT applications and best practices. Technically speaking, a knowledge of all applicable OSI Level 1-7 network device and system hardware/software and communication protocol types. To be considered for this position, you must have an active Cisco certification (CCNA and CCNP). This position will be remote but will require travel, roughly 1-2 times per month, within the United States. This position will be a minimum of 6-months with opportunity to extend to a 1-year long contract.

Skills and Requirements

  • 7 or more years of experience working as a Network Engineer

  • 2 or more years of experience working as a Lead or Network Engineering Manager

  • Active Cisco certifications (CCNA and/or CCNP)

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to interface with business stakeholders, technical and non-technical individuals, etc.

  • Excellent documentation skills, ability to create project/operational plans, and effectively advise on strategy

  • Experience working in the manufacturing/industrial industry (pharmaceutical, oil/gas, aircraft, or automotive manufacturing)

  • Ability to travel 2x per month within the U.S. null
