Position Summary

EOIS is seeking a highly motivated candidate who will be challenged to stay current with the latest technological developments in information security. You will be exposed to advanced technologies and will play a major role in identifying potential threats and intrusions on Information Technology (IT) systems by our adversaries. Together we'll address evolving threats to national security, thus keeping our nation and our warfighter safe.

As the ISSM, you will be the driving force for obtaining an ATO and ATC for a connection for a cleared contractor facility. As the ISSM you will be responsible for the successfully obtaining an ATO based on security requirements defined within the National

Industrial Security Program Operations Manual (NISPOM) in alignment with Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) oversight. The ISSM will also be the driving force in coordinating with DISA and DoD customer to obtain the ATC (authority to connect). This will include administration and implementation of all required security tools and configurations, necessary to obtain the ATC.

Basic Qualifications and Required Skills

  • 5+ years of security experience in either the defense industry or Information Systems Security, or a combination of both

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or certification (MSCE or GAIC) or equivalent related experience, preferably with classified contractor or government authorized classified systems

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance

  • Active Level III IAM Certification, as defined in DoD 8570.01-M or DoD 8140

  • Knowledge with writing and submitting RMF documentation and artifacts in accordance with government Risk Management Framework (RMF) policy or guidance applied to classified contractor managed systems

  • Knowledge with implementing, administering and using hardening systems security tools including SCAP, MBSA, McAfee,ACAS or HBSS

  • Experience with the process of bringing SIPRNet and JWICS into contractor facilities

  • Knowledge of US government Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes

  • Experience with e-MASS or Xacta

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for effective interface with all internal and external contacts

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Supporting the technical maintenance and configuration of a SIPRNet to maintain compliance.

  • Successful Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) experience

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement local policies, processes, procedures and compliance with all National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and NAO requirements

  • Develop and maintain all DoD requirements, including the Defense Security Service NAO standards to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual

  • Review and approve requests for access to cleared computer systems

  • Conduct periodic self-inspections on local processes and practices to ensure NISP and NAO compliance; accurately report security posture to site, group and corporate leadership

  • Develop, conduct, coordinate and deliver site information systems security education program requirements to all users of the classified information system(s) supporting classified programs

  • Ensure Information system is up to standards and policies and able to pass yearly CCRI or other yearly security vulnerability assessments

  • Ensure that periodic self-assessments of the facility’s classified information systems are conducted as part of the overall facility self-inspection program and that all corrective actions are taken

  • Develop and implement general maintenance procedures based on requirements provided by the cognizant security authority

  • Conduct and coordinate investigations into security violations related to cleared information systems; ensure corrective actions are implemented

  • May oversee and provide direction to staff or assigned personnel, such as a site Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

  • Other duties as assigned
