BUNZL Equipment Operator in Dallas, Texas

Description

Bunzl Retail Services is opening a new Warehouse in the Dallas area and are looking for experienced equipment operators to help us establish and grow our newest location! The Equipment Operator will perform a variety of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The Equipment Operator will operate various equipment including Stand Up Forklift, Sit Down Forklift and Walkie Rider.

Job Type: Full Time/ Regular

1st Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm

Monday-Friday

$18.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Select customer orders from shelves, place onto pallet, and load onto trailer

  • Must operate an industrial forklift in a safe and responsible manner

  • Must be able to retrieve and stack product safety use appropriate equipment

  • Utilize an on-board computer and wireless radio frequency system

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Assist other warehouse workers in completing tasks as requested by the Warehouse Manager or immediate supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated and proven track record of proficiency on all powered industrial vehicle (PIV) equipment operated in the warehouse.

  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (occasionally between 40-50 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation for an entire shift.

  • Overtime is required based on business demands, sometimes on short notice.

  • Previous warehouse equipment experience required

  • Must be dependable and a team player.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to understand written English without translation
