Job Description :

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Director HR Technology & Strategic Initiatives is responsible for identifying innovative ways to elevate the Human Resources operating model using technology as an enabler. The individual will deploy a consumer centric approach and participate in Human Resources strategic planning, budgeting and resource coordination with the goal of developing cost effective and forwarding thinking Human Resources strategies to meet the evolving healthcare consumer needs. This position is accountable for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of Human Resources technology services to team members, contractors and candidates.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assess, develop, recommend and implement industry-leading Human Resources strategies by deploying technology as an enabler to adapt to ever-changing business needs, taking an initiatives from ideation to sustainability.

Approach strategic initiatives with a consumer centric and technology enabling mindset to continuously optimize service delivery methodologies that Human Resources uses to serve team members, leaders, contractors and candidates.

Nurture a positive and collaborative relationships with system leadership, system functional partners, senior management, Human Resources team members and vendors.

Lead the cross functional teams in supporting the day-to-day activities to support the broad Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, and other inter-related functions with Human Resources technology.

Continuously explore processes and emerging Human Resources market trends which will help enable the overall workforce to operate at the top of their license.

Partner with facility leadership to analyze Human Resources procedures, improve processes and leverage Human Resources technology capabilities to drive efficiencies.

Build and maintain a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching and team building. Assess the skill levels necessary to achieve Human Resources strategic objectives.

Based on business needs to support the Human Resources operating model, negotiate priorities and support requirements with the IT Dept., functional staff, vendors and others as appropriate.

Serve as a Human Resources technical point-of-contact for assigned functional area and ensure data integrity, testing of system changes, and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities.

Manage Human Resources technology contracts and maintain awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future workforce functionality needs. When apprised, review impending business issues that will have a direct impact on Human Resources and provide senior management with an assessment of the impact, scheduling considerations and other information required for a complete business case.

Evaluate opportunities within the Human Resources operating model to leverage Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and other emerging technologies when there is a positive return on investment and efficiencies related to Human Resources operating costs.

Maintain awareness of current trends in technology with the goal of elevating the Human Resources operating model.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Computer Science or related field.

  • Graduate degree preferred.

  • Scrum Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP®) preferred.

Previous Work Experience

  • 8 or more years of Technology, Entrepreneurship, Consulting or Human Resources experience.

  • 3 or more years of leadership experience.

  • Experience implementing, maintaining and optimizing ERP technologies.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven execution of strategic Human Resources related transformations and technology innovation in highly regulated and matrixed healthcare environment.

  • Demonstration of ongoing impact and positive outcomes driven by technology enablement.

  • Outstanding critical thinking, combined with both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, while also deploying reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems in a cost effective manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex and multidisciplinary efforts with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of processes and data exchange methodologies.

  • Experience with Human Resources technologies such as Workday, Oracle, INFOR, SAP, and others.

  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
