Rexel USA Credit Specialist - New Accounts in Dallas, Texas

The position of Credit Specialist - New Accounts will be based out of our Dallas, TX location!

Pay Range: $22.00 per hour

Summary

The Credit Specialist - New Accounts is responsible for the day-to-day accounts receivable collection, as well as review and management of risk in the extension of credit. Will process all new account requests as well as customer job account submissions.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain a process for the collection of past due receivables including clear accounts notations

  • Communicate with customers, general contractors, property owners, branch personnel and credit management in a timely, polite, and effective manner

  • Responsible for answering on average, 20 inbound calls per day and making on average 5-10, outbound calls per day

  • Must gain a working knowledge of lien statutes in each state, review and complete lien releases and joint check agreements for customers and/or general contractors in a timely manner

  • Critically reviews customers credit applications, analyzes business credit reports, personal credit reports, and other financial documents in order to make sound decisions in the extension of credit

  • Develop/assist with various weekly reports and presentations for management review

  • Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • High School or GED

  • 1+ years of experience

  • Experience working in a credit department preferably in the distribution industry
