Description

We are offering a unique opportunity for an Interim Controller in the hospitality industry, based in Dallas, Texas. This is a 3-month contract position with potential for contract-to-hire. 100% ONSITE 5 days a week in Dallas, TX 75287.

This position is a short-term contract opportunity, where the selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting and treasury operations.

Interim Controller (contract/contract-to-hire):

Responsibilities:

• Establish, monitor, and enforce accounting policies, business processes, and internal controls.

• Develop and manage an accounting team to meet accounting requirements.

• Oversee accounting and treasury operations, including Revenue Recognition, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Accounting, and Cash Management.

• Manage relationships with external audit firm, banks, and outsourced providers.

• Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Lead year-end close and coordinate annual audit.

• Utilize accounting systems such as NetSuite and Planful to maintain records and generate reports.

• Handle treasury activities and manage cash flow.

• Apply knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in dealing with overseas locations.

• Perform other accounting functions as required.

Work Schedule: In-Office Full Time

Top 3 Keys:

  • Restaurant experience – multi-unit – experience working with PE firms would be very helpful – tons of work with banks, covenants

  • This is a true Controller Role – need to be strong Accountant/CPA

  • Treasury Aspects – need someone familiar with Cash management

    Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a Controller role or similar position.

• Extensive knowledge and experience in Accounting Functions is required.

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory.

• Demonstrated experience in using NetSuite and Planful software is essential.

• Must have a solid understanding and experience in Treasury Activities.

• Experience in executing Month End Close activities is required.

• Knowledge of IFRS Accounting standards and practices is necessary.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with different stakeholders.

• Must have a proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering accurate results.

• Strong leadership skills to guide and manage the accounting team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required, advanced degree or certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
