BURGESS & NIPLE INC Civil Project Engineer in Dallas, Texas

Collaborate with civil engineering land development professionals to grow your career working on projects throughout Texas. Burgess and Niple is looking for aCivil Project Engineerto join our team in either Dallas or Fort Worth.

BandN Civil Project Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Work with land development staff on a variety of projects including (but not limited to) single-family residential, multi-family residential, commercial, senior independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing facilities, and affordable housing projects in the Texas region.
  • Coordinate and lead design team through civil design and plan production.
  • Project and client management including engagement with reviewing/governing entities.
  • Land planning, site civil design, preparation of feasibility and cost opinions.
  • Preparation of bid and contract documents and coordination with subconsultants and contractors.
  • Assist senior Project Managers in development and training of junior land development staff.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Texas required; or ability to register through reciprocity
  • 5 - 10 years of related experience in the delivery of land development projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2024 Civil 3D required
  • Microsoft Office experience including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with using HEC RAS, HEC HMS, and storm water detention drainage software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
