Responsibilities

  • Greets all customers with a friendly smile.

  • Initiates dialogue and develops rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite products and food items.

  • Responds appropriately to customer questions and concerns.

  • Sells and serves baked goods and pastry food items to customers.

  • Ensure work station and product displays are stocked, clean, tidy and well presented   

  • Maintains working knowledge of Bakery recipes and prepared bread and desserts.

  • Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous customer service experience.

  • Previous Bakery experience a plus

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.

  • Ability to prioritize work tasks, multi-task, and maintain focus.

  • Operates calmly and proactively in stressful and difficult situations

  • Teamwork is essential.

  • Push or pull food carts weighing up to 40 pounds. 

  • Able to speak, read, write, and understand English and speak distinctly and persuasively to others.
