TEKsystems AV Service Technician (Texas - AUS/HOU/SA) in Dallas, Texas

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled AV Service Technician with in-depth expertise in Crestron and AMX systems to join our team as the primary service technician catering to the needs of our largest enterprise customers in Dallas area. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing audio-visual systems while providing exceptional service and support to our enterprise clientele. This is a 36-month contract position offering a competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Configuration:

Lead the installation and configuration of AV systems, including mounting displays, setting up audio equipment, and programming control systems (such as Crestron, AMX, iamp, and QSC audio DSP products) to ensure seamless integration and operation of all devices.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:

Diagnose and resolve issues related to AV hardware, software, and connectivity within enterprise clients' environments. Conduct routine maintenance and updates to ensure optimal system performance.

Client Training and Support: Provide comprehensive instruction to clients on using the installed systems effectively. Create user manuals and documentation to facilitate smooth operation. Proactively support enterprise clients to ensure their AV systems meet their business needs.

Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with project managers, architects, interior designers, and other IT professionals to ensure AV installations meet project requirements, budgets, and timelines. Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate support and service activities.

Technology Integration:

Familiarity with Cisco, POLY, and LOGITECH video conference systems, as well as Luxul, NETGEAR, and Cisco switches, to integrate diverse AV solutions within enterprise environments.

Continuous Learning and Upgradation:

Stay informed about new technologies, industry best practices, and product developments to provide enterprise clients with the most advanced and effective solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

A minimum of 7-8 years of experience in the AV industry with strong experience in AV system installation, maintenance, and repair.

Technical Expertise:

Profound understanding of AV systems, audio equipment, display technologies, control systems (particularly Crestron and AMX), and networking. Familiarity with iamp, QSC audio DSP products, Cisco, POLY, LOGITECH video conference systems, Luxul, NETGEAR, and Cisco switches is highly advantageous.

Problem-solving Skills:

Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AV hardware, software, and connectivity.

Communication:

Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with enterprise clients, project managers, and other professionals involved in AV installations.

Continuous Learning:

Commitment to staying current with new technologies and industry best practices to offer clients the latest and most effective AV solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Crestron or AMX systems.

Prior experience with iamp, QSC audio DSP products, Cisco, POLY, LOGITECH video conference systems, Luxul, NETGEAR, and Cisco switches is a plus.
