The Associate, Project Manager leads and motivates a team of professionals and is accountable for the overall schedule and quality of deliverables in support of the Enterprise PMO. S/he manages and oversees the end-to-end project management activities such as project reporting, project planning, issue / risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, client management, relationship management and other project documentation preparation for projects of medium to high business complexity (involving multiple systems interfaces that are highly visible to the organization).

Manages and implements internal or external IT and Business projects or programs with a defined start and end. Leads team members from various job families through a defined project life cycle. Plans, develops, coordinates and assists with project activities through all project phases (e.g., project planning, execution, communication, financial management and issues/risk mitigation). Allocates, obtains and manages resources and project management tools to achieve project objectives. Creates and implements assessment processes to enforce timely completion of projects in accordance with standards and requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops project plans (MS Project) to meet prescribed objectives.

  • Identifies and implements solutions resolving issues to maintain timelines and achieve agreed upon deliverables.

  • Serves as liaison between team members and functional area management.

  • Gathers and disseminates information.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Work Experience: 5+ years managing business and/or technical projects.

Skills and Abilities:

  • PMP Certification preferred or equivalent work and/or education.

  • Knowledge of SDLC, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

  • Financial Services Industry experience a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and present to Sr Leadership team.

  • Proven ability to motivate teams and drive a common goal.

  • Proven history of successful project delivery.

  • Strong project management and quality assurance skills.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members across the Bank.

  • Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
