KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director, Data Solutions Architecture to join our Data Strategy & Operations organization.
Responsibilities:
Promote the KPMG Enterprise Data Strategy by contributing to the Solution Architecture processes focusing on value driven outcomes with the highest benefit for the firm
Contribute to establishing a Technology Architecture roadmap and vision covering assets such as Azure Data Lake, MDM, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Self-Service Data Science Platforms
Collaborate with Information Architects, Enterprise Architects, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Scientists to deliver architectural solutions that fulfill the business needs and align with the Solution Architecture Vision and Strategy
Enable a data science community with accessible, governed, and protected data with a focus on 'Self-Service' and fit-for-purpose governance
Contribute to the creation of technology standards and guidelines; support management of Technical Debt
Engage proactively with business stakeholders across the enterprise, as well as Security, Risk Management, Data Privacy, Data Products and Platform Engineering, and Data Operations
Qualifications:
Minimum eight years of recent experience supporting data strategy and enabling continuous innovation and improvement of data products and/or services through best-in-class data solution architectures
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
Good understanding of data transport, storage & security technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs, Streaming technologies, Blob storage, and Relational DB stores; demonstrated experience with Big-Data architectures inclusive of orchestration, Batch Vs. Streaming patterns/anti-patterns
Working knowledge of DevOps processes, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Services etc), Databricks and Lakehouse architecture, Azure Event Hub, Event Grid, Messaging services, Azure Logic Apps, Functions, Serverless technologies, Infrastructure as Code, Development platforms such as Azure DevOps, Github enterprise
Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills to lead an environment driven by customer service and teamwork; advanced knowledge of the broader scope that frames the essential technical area of work with ability to use this knowledge to create incremental value and technical strategy
