Job Description

Are you an accomplished Logistician with Supply Management background looking for your next career move? AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Part-time Logistician for a Navy acquisition program.

As an Acquisition Logistician, you will:

  • Work with a highly accomplished team to support a Navy acquisition program.

A week in the life of anAcquisition Logistician:

  • Assist Government Project Managers, and Defense Contracts Management Agency in operating and managing a tracking system for items procured, maintained, shipped, and consumed on a major Navy program

  • Conduct periodic physical inventories of government owned material used in support of the Warfighter

  • Assist with audits of associate contractor’s asset and property tracking systems

  • Assist in managing Supply metrics, including Minimum Stock Levels, Spares allocations and Spares forecasting

  • Assist others in documenting asset and property actions using standard DoD forms

  • Assist in documenting disposal of Government owned assets and property

  • Participate in periodic meetings and teleconferences with suppliers, Government, and Navy personnel

Job Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance (TS clearance)

  • (10) Ten years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree

  • Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience and Associates Degree

  • MS Office product proficiency

  • Excellent written and oral communications

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Experience with DoD logistics & contracts

  • Experience supporting military aviation logistics & maintenance staffs
