Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Dallas, Texas

Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. If you're looking for great career growth potential and a great benefits package, you might be the right candidate for this quickly growing accounting team. The strongest candidates for this position will be able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. The strongest candidates for this Accounts Receivable Clerk position will be self-starters with high attention to detail, ready to handle 200+ invoices a week. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Dallas, Texas area.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers

  • Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans

  • Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

  • Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

  • Verify documents and codes

  • Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization

  • Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

  • Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

  • Strong familiarity with Charge Posting

  • General familiarity with Wholesale distribution

  • Experience with cash applications

  • Posting Payments experience

  • Well-founded grasp of Epicor Erp

  • 10 Key Skills experience

  • Proven knowledge of B2B collections

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred

  • Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

  • Great attention to detail

  • ERP system experience
