Amentum Procurement Specialist in Dahlgren, Virginia

Amentum is seeking a Procurement Specialist to provide equipment procurement support to the government customer.

Procurement Specialist Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide procurement support to include providing support collecting, generating and tracking procurement requests (which may include hardware/software and bankcard requisitions), and hardware/software maintenance renewals.

  • Submit procurement requests in Integrated Budget Planning & Execution System (IBPES) or other information systems as applicable.

  • Provide inputs to and prepare briefings procurement status for team leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of work-related experience demonstrating a technical understanding and ability to prepare complex and detailed technical documents and reports; OR, three (3) years of specialized experience in: financial planning, budgeting and execution of project funds for allocation purposes

  • Coordination of task planning, schedule development and task execution for DoD and Navy programs and projects.

  • Demonstrating both a comprehensive knowledge of software applications and best business practices along with a high degree of skill in applying software functions necessary to prepare complex and detailed documents utilizing the Microsoft (MS) Office suite of products.

  • Experience in processing complex and lengthy technical reports that include tables, graphs, charts, or multiple columns, participating in Technical Progress and Design Reviews and program technical meetings, and providing status and inputs to technical reports, white papers and meetings.

  • Must have an active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Navy ERP and IBPES highly desired

  • Integrated management schedule (IMS) development and tracking for planning and budgeting highly desired.
