Description Financial Analyst (EDOS-21-0661-F):
Bowhead seeks a Financial Analyst who assists in various financial functions such as budgeting, projection, auditing, forecasting, trending and analysis. Assists in budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations. Assist with expense tracking and financial monthly reporting, financial data calls and fiscal compliance. May assist in the preparation of proposals for new and existing delivery orders.
Functions include but are not limited to:
• Assisting project leads with the preparation of cost estimates
• Assisting project leads with the development of spend plans
• Tracking actual obligations and expenditures versus planned using ERP and EDW
• Updating weekly budget reports, including tracking commitments, obligations, and expenditures
• Assisting the Division level Business Office with the completion of the Tri-annual Review by researching outstanding, commitments, obligations, and unfulfilled customer orders
• Compiling financial data to provide to the Division level Business Office to complete action items and data calls
Advanced Excel user
Understanding of fiscal law: types of funds, periods of availability, and time/purpose/amount
Requirements • Must have access and/or direct-relevant experience with current NSWCDD systems such as ERP and EDW experience and familiarity with similar Government Financial Systems.
• Must have knowledge and experience using IBPES.
• Zero to two (0-2) or more years combined experience in military logistics, procurement, or program analyst support.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred (Degree can supplement for experience).
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills are a must.
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
