Job Information

Amentum EMC Engineer in Dahlgren, Virginia

Amentum is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician/EMC Engineer to perform Test and Evaluation, and configuration management of C5ISR systems. This will be a hybrid position.

*This position is contingent on contract award*

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed EMI/EMC test plans

  • Participate in EMI/EMC test planning meetings and test readiness reviews

  • Perform EMI/EMC testing; gather, reduce, and analyze resulting data; prepare and publish detailed EMI/EMC test reports

  • Review technical documentation; and technical meeting support.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an electrical engineering with an RF focus or Physics with an emphasis in electromagnetic interference (EMI), electric field propagation, and/or electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience in theoretical and practical aspects of research, development, test, engineering, or integration of Navy RF sensors and systems and with one or more of the following topside areas: E3; EMI/EMC testing; EMI problem investigation; Spectrum; EMI/EMC analysis and assessment; EMI Control and Mitigation; MATLAB programming; proficiency in use of RF equipment (spectrum analyzer, real-time spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, network analyzer, etc.)

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
