Your key responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate the implementation of real-time, in-line spectroscopic process analysis (incl. FT-NIR spectroscopy technology) globally including the preparation of conceptual designs and User Requirement Specifications (URS).

  • Coordinate activities linked to the field of spectroscopy and assist globally the installation, commissioning, exploitation as well as maintenance.

  • Facilitate an efficient and regular information exchange between all stakeholders and sites.

  • Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot and optimize the use of spectroscopic tools installed in laboratory, pilot and industrial plants and assure optimal data quality, cost, and throughput.

  • Assist local teams using spectroscopic tools to monitor and control chemical processes and purification processes and facilitate its use for advanced process control and automation.

  • Support the collection and analysis of process data to enhance performance and promote data-driven decision-taking.

  • Develop in-depth knowledge on spectroscopy and strong relationships with internal partners from chemical operations, R&D (Synthesis, Analytical and Biotech), and automation to maximize value generation.

  • Maintain a high level of awareness of the advancement of the technology related to real time process analysis. Propose and asses new processes including technology feasibility studies.

    You bring

  • B. Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of industrial experience relevant/related industries.

  • Good understanding and hands on experience of analytical methods, including GC and HPLC. FT-IR Experience will be an added advantage.

  • Solid background in data statistics and automation. Analytical thinking and proven problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.

  • Ability to work in a global context with stakeholders from many different divisions.
