Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Cypress, California

Description We are searching for a meticulous and analytical Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee our accounting department in Cypress, California. The chosen candidate will be tasked with managing a variety of accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, month-end closing, and data analysis. They will be instrumental in preparing for year-end audits, managing contracts, and assisting in all areas of the department.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely completion of all financial reporting and maintain the high quality and accuracy of these reports.

• Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure an efficient month-end and year-end close process.

• Prepare monthly and annual journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Contribute to the preparation of budgets, projections, and variance analysis.

• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for federal and internal audits.

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable and accounts receivable department to ensure accuracy.

• Review existing accounting processes and recommend improvements for accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage client contracts and ensure contractual, billing, and financial controls.

• Utilize various accounting software systems, such as ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Great Plains (GPAC), and Sage MAS 90.

• Perform monthly account reconciliation and month-end close activities.

• Handle general ledger tasks, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, and auditing and billing functions. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge and practical experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Understanding of ERP Solutions

• Proficiency in Great Plains (GPAC)

• Capability to manage Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing processes

• Ability to manage Billing Functions

• Proficient in Sage MAS 90

• Ability to handle Journal Entries

• Experience in managing General Ledger

• Ability to perform Month End Close

• Experience in Month-end Financial procedures

• Experience in Month-end Close Activities

• Capability to manage Month-end Journal Entries

• Experience in Monthly Account Reconciliation
