Prepares, seasons, and cooks’ meat, vegetables, soups, and hot breads according to defined recipes and menus for customers as written by the dietary manager. Prepares all food Sunder safe and sanitary conditions. Prepares food in a timely manner according to recipes to produce the best quality product. Prepares food items and fills patients’ meal tray according to menu and dietary restrictions. Washes pots, pans, and utensils per use. Keeps cooking area neat and clean, mops, and sweeps as assigned. Performs daily and weekly cleaning as assigned. Completes all forms as designated (e.g., sanitizer solution, storeroom, and refrigeration monitors.)Required Education, Skills, Abilities:High school education or equivalent preferred.Works cooperatively, communicates effectively.Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions, especially recipes.Basic knowledge of cooking.Must have knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation.Previous food service experience preferred but not required.Food Handlers certification required within 3 months of hire.Must have excellent customer service skillsAble to work well with public, patients, staff and physicians
