What you’ll do:

Maintenance & EHS Technician, Cwmbran, UK (hourly)

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be working within the site operations team and will be responsible for the maintenance of our growing production facility, and support site level key Environment Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives. This role is highly process driven, fast paced, requiring the candidate to be a good communicator, problem solver with a technical background and a passionate learner.

In this function you will:

• Contact and manage vendors for repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery.

• Obtain quotes and contract vendors for site upgrade projects. Order supplies, parts, and equipment as needed for maintenance and operation purposes. Examples – building upgrades, office refurbishing, warehouse racking repair, electrical power supplies for new machinery or other CAPEX projects.

• Install and set-up machinery and equipment as needed and perform monthly preventive maintenance on machinery and facility equipment. Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery as needed.

• Maintain files of maintenance records for ISO purposes.

• Create opportunities for improvements in the production equipment and monitors the development of these projects.

• Participate as a member of Safety Committee - Attend monthly meetings and provide input and suggestions to help improve safety in the facility.

• High safety standards – demonstrable by examples – ie; knowledge of risk & method statements, safe systems of work etc

• Champion and lead projects designed to effectively drive improvements in our “Zero Incident Safety Culture” program(s) and monitors critical components such as critical machine guarding compliance, electrical safe work practices, confined space entry process, lock out tag out process.

• Supports and executes facility related maintenance activities, manages site visitor suppliers, and ensure they adhere to site safety policy.

Qualifications:

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in industrial maintenance and/or facility maintenance and/or in EHS area

Skills:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, Word

• Experience in Environmental, Health, or Safety in a manufacturing environment is an advantage

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position
