As an Electrical Power Systems Software Engineering – Transmission Network Applications , you will develop, implement, and perform complex technical assignments related to Advanced Power Systems Software Applications for Energy Mgmt. & Energy Market software applications.

The position requires effective use, development and software modification for electricity markets using applicable theory, algorithms and solution techniques. Develop functional requirements, design specifications, documentation and testing of Energy Market Applications. Energy Market Applications development and delivery involves: Transmission Network Analysis, Transmission Constraints modeling, Operator Training Simulator and knowledge of Optimization Techniques. It is also expected to execute and reviewing high quality customer commercial projects delivered on schedule, within budget and meets or exceeds customer satisfaction expectations.

What We Need From You

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

· Master’s or Doctor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with thesis or related work in power systems

· 8+ years of relevant work experience in Software Engineering, Power Systems engineering, Project Deployment and R&D solutions

· Experience with the following: C/C++, Fortran, Perl and Python

· Experience with Oracle PL/SQL

· Experience with source code control using Git

· Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum

· Experience in Network Application such as Power Flow Analysis, Security Analysis, State Estimator etc

· Experience with testing and test automation is a plus

· Experience with one of the following: SCADA systems, Operator Training Simulator, mission critical systems or Network Grid Control Centers software

· Experience with grid applications and power systems

· Platforms: Windows and Linux/Unix

· Fluent English language skills

Your Challenges

· Promote and demonstrate best practices and high-quality software development processes including development of new code and maintenance of existing code

· Writes documents for new project tasks, such as Design notes, testing procedures, etc.

· Provide effort estimates to Project Manager/Project Engineer for new project tasks

· Support sales during the bid procedures

· Support after sales and SLA with customer support

· Support test and continuous integration activities

· Ability to work independently and be self-motivated

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Highly organized and efficient

· Mentor and coach Junior Engineers
