Amazon System Quality Manager, AWS Neuron SDK in Cupertino, California

Description

As a System Quality Manager for the Neuron SDK (Software Development Kit), you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge software platform. You will be responsible for designing and implementing quality assurance processes, conducting thorough testing procedures, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a robust and high-performing SDK that meets the needs of our customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy for the Neuron SDK, aligning with the overall product development roadmap and business objectives.

  • Create detailed test plans and test cases to cover all aspects of the SDK functionality, including feature validation, performance testing, compatibility testing, and regression testing.

  • Lead efforts to automate testing processes wherever possible, utilizing industry-standard tools and frameworks to streamline testing workflows and improve efficiency.

  • Establish robust processes for tracking, prioritizing, and managing software defects throughout the development lifecycle, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

  • Collaborate closely with product management, software development, and customer support teams to gather requirements, provide feedback, and ensure alignment on quality standards and objectives.

  • Identify opportunities for performance optimization and scalability improvements within the SDK, conducting thorough analysis and implementing solutions to enhance overall system efficiency.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test results, and quality metrics, providing regular reports and updates to stakeholders on the status of QA activities and key quality indicators.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team and across the organization, implementing best practices, adopting new technologies, and staying abreast of industry trends to continually enhance the quality of our SDK.

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience

  • 3+ years of quality assurance teams management experience

  • Experience managing manual testers

  • Experience managing automation testers

  • Experience testing web technologies and back-end services

  • Experience identifying and reviewing test plans, test cases and testing results with a strong QA background

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals

  • Experience transforming QA programs from manual to automation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $228,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
