The System Quality & Reporting Team is seeking an experienced and passionate Software Quality Manager who will be responsible for driving our System Quality test products for iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS aimed at measuring, maintaining and reporting the quality of shipped features. We’re looking for a highly organized, creative, motivated, and passionate about achieving results. Our team works in a fast-paced environment that relies heavily on strong communication and relationships with teams across Apple.

Key Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Professional Experience as a Software Engineer or Software Quality Engineer.

  • 2+ years of Management Experience.

  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, methodologies, and standard processes.

  • Proven success hiring, developing and building an inclusive team-based culture that strives towards best practices, measurable outcomes, and operational excellence.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple.

  • Superb analytical and problem solving skills, and a successful history delivering on objectives.

  • Strong leadership skills to work with cross functional partners and coordinate test efforts across multiple teams.

  • Experience with Data Analysis and Visualization Tools such as Tableau.

  • Proficiency with iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS or similar operating systems.

Description

As a Software Quality Manager on our team, you will be leading a team of highly skilled engineers, collaborating heavily with QA teams across Apple to understand their quality plans for existing features. Your team is in charge of identifying appropriate testing implementations processes and methodologies and messaging overall program quality to leadership at key milestones. As the owner and driver of key quality metric for functional and application areas, you will collaborate with other teams to drive qualification efforts, process results, draw meaningful conclusions and present impactful data to our leaders and cross functional teams at a regular cadence. Your vision, analytical and critical thinking skills will be needed to identify enhancements and instruments needed to ensure the user experience across the system meets the Apple Quality bar.

Education & Experience

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience with 6+ years of experience in relevant fields of engineering development, quality assurance or project management, and minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Manager.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,400.00 and $250,400.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
