The Health Special Projects MSO team is looking for an extraordinary ML Ops Engineer with a background in large scale engineering projects. You will enjoy building services that Data Science and Application developers will leverage to shape exceptional experiences for our employees and customers.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience designing and implementing modular, composable services, using state-of-the-art technology stacks

  • 1+ years of experience Collecting and Analyzing ML performance metrics

  • 2+ years working on highly available, high-volume, low latency services at scale

  • 2+ years working in AWS w/ container services (preferred experience in k8s).

  • Preferred Experience Airflow in AWS

  • Preferred Experience in Go, Java or Kotlin

Description

An ML Ops Engineer would help our Data Science team collect metrics around model performance as well as do rapid experimentation while also supporting some Data Engineering tasks to aid the Data Science team in tracking and analyzing results. You are ready to solve big problems, enjoy working in an agile and dynamic multi-functional team, love data, and want to make a huge impact in health. Some of your characteristics include: - Experience building highly available and fault tolerant systems - Experience with software development tools on Linux - Understands and can implement the lifecycle of ML development - Experience with ML Experimentation tools and workflows - Proven track record of shipping services in production environments for consumer facing products - Experience managing performance, application and security log management - Strong coding experience and capable of picking up new languages - Strong analytical thinking to solve challenging problems - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills

Education & Experience

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Additional Requirements

    • Experience handling Pen Testing and Secure Applications is a plus
    • Works well in and across teams
    • Works well in a self directed environment
    • Comfortable with weekly on-call rotation
    • Reliable and responsive to support the team’s needs
    • Nice to have experience handling Pen Testing and Secure Applications
    • This is a site-based role

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
