Apple seeks an extraordinary Senior Automation QA Engineer who can work on a fast paced team, and has strong experience with leading multi-functional testing efforts, developing tests, and technical acuity! In this role you will work with software development & quality engineers, on and outside the team, to test and deliver complex features in various security projects. You will work with other quality assurance and software engineers to strategize, develop, and execute high quality test plans.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of shown experience working as a Software Test Automation Engineer

  • Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools

  • Experience diagnosing and debugging complex systems

  • Experience identifying automation requirements and designing solutions to address test execution challenges

  • Proficiency in Python (or other scripting language) and preferably one of the following programming languages: Swift, Objective C

  • Exceptional collaborative skills including networking, negotiating, documentation, and presentation skills

  • Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced and informal environment. Ability to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently

  • Ability to think analytically, problem solve, reduce data sets, and innovate

Description

The work will involve designing and implementing test plans for Security features and requires strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Some of the key responsibilities in this role will include: - Develop detailed and methodical manual and automated test plans - Implement automated tests, developing tools and frameworks where needed - Work with engineering teams to deeply understand the technology and develop test plans around it - Debug and report issues encountered during testing - Help triage the team’s daily automation results - Define requirements for shipping high quality features An excellent candidate will have passion for security technologies and creating great end-user experiences through meticulous quality.

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science, engineering or equivalent experience

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300.00 and $241,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
