With operations in the US and Europe, Emerson Gas Analysis is revolutionizing the speed and accuracy with which gases can be analyzed across a wide range of market segments, serving diverse applications in process industries such as Natural Gas, Chemical, Refining, and Power, and hybrid industries such as Food & Beverage, Aerosol, and Life Science

As an Assembly & Test Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, configuration & testing of gas analyzers of a wide range of gas sensor products. This role requires an individual who is diligent and has excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate results and observations to the production teams.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

  • Pre-assembly of components and products according with work instructions

  • Construction of customer-specific optical benches

  • Installation of optical benches in various housings

  • Establishing gas connections (e.g. tubing, piping)

  • Manufacturing electrical connections

  • Configuration of analyzers

  • Execution of long-term and temperature tests

  • Linearization of analyzers

  • Creation of appropriate documentation

  • Prepare the equipment for shipment

  • Installation of electronic components

  • Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably taught. Who you are:

Customer focus driven, with the capability to efficiently and accurately handle complexed tasks. You will adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of our diverse collaborators. Familiarity with working under deadlines and in a target driven environment. You model as self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude, reliable and are comfortable working in a changing environment.

For this role, you will need:

  • Successfully completed (electro) technical vocational training, preferably with corresponding further qualifications in the field of electrical engineering, e.g. as a technician

  • Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience in gas analysis technology sector is an advantage

  • Good knowledge of using common PC software such as MS Office
