Horizon Goodwill Industries Junior Driver/Material Handler in Cumberland, Maryland

The Junior Driver is primarily responsible for staging truck loads, loading/unloading truck, distribute truck returns to their proper locations, and assist with pickups as needed under the direction of the Associate Director of Logistics. This position will serve as a backup Delivery Driver.

  • Stage truck loads based on daily schedule in a safe manner.
  • Unload and distribute truck returns from stores in proper locations.
  • Reload trucks for the next delivery.
  • Keep the dock clean, organized, and free of trash.
  • Ensuring that items are properly disposed of in the bulk and metal dumpsters.
  • Assist with pickups as needed.
  • Organize and maintain large quantity of seasonal storage items.
  • Complete assigned pick-ups and deliveries with direction.
  • Accurately complete paperwork and turn in daily.
  • Perform truck safety inspections according to company policy and immediately report any repairs that are needed.
  • Capability of lifting and loading up to seventy-five (75) pounds with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to move up and down stairs/ladders without difficulty.
  • Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Attending required safety training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
