Sony Pictures Entertainment Sr Paralegal, TV Legal in Culver City, California

This senior-level paralegal position supports TV Legal’s attorneys in compiling/reviewing/discussing/filing client deliverables for television series and movies-of-the-week; uploading certain deliverables to digital data storage platforms on behalf of division clients; drafting and distributing episodic writer and episodic director agreements; drafting, compiling and processing court petitions; maintaining/updating digital databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Compiling/reviewing/monitoring network and streamer deliverables for television series and for movies-of-the-week

  • Uploading deliverables to digital databases

  • Drafting and distributing episodic agreements

  • Drafting, compiling and processing court petitions

  • Maintaining and updating the department’s digital database

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of law firm or law department experience working in entertainment industry on entertainment-related contracts (compiling/reviewing/monitoring television series and movies-of-the week deliverables; drafting and distributing episodic writer or director agreements; drafting, filing and processing court petitions; maintaining/updating legal database)

  • Proficiency with digital databases (uploading documents to internal and external digital databases, maintaining and updating the iManage database)

  • AA or AS degree

  • Paralegal certificate preferred

  • Mid-level or higher proficiency and experience using Box.com, Portal+, Excel and iManage preferred
