Sony Pictures Entertainment Sr Business Analyst, S3, Facilities & Admin Services in Culver City, California

The Sr Business Analyst, Corporate IT, will play a key role in supporting technology solutions and strategy, while maintaining close business relationships with the Security, Safety, and Sustainability (S3) department, Facilities department, and Admin Services department. Technical experience in the physical security industry and knowledge of applications related to access control, video management, visitor management systems, etc., is preferred. The Sr Business Analyst is sharply focused on identifying, documenting, and recommending solutions to business requirements from a technology, process, and workflow perspective. The Sr Business Analyst will successfully facilitate with stakeholders from various business units, supporting IT training, user acceptance testing, test scenarios, integrations, planning, coordination, and deployment of multi-team enhancements or projects. The role is responsible for contributing to the broader IT team in aligning technical and operational strategy through project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of a technology transformational roadmap for Security, Safety, and Sustainability (S3) department, Facilities department, and Admin Services department.

  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the complexities of the business and potential technical solutions, as well as a passion for driving large-scale projects.

  • Contribute technical analysis to ensure that the delivered system functionality matches the specified requirements; ensure business satisfaction with IT services and products; understand and support communication of user expectations.

  • Contribute to project execution, including taking a lead role in multi-track project plans, communicating updates to stakeholders, and providing weekly reports.

  • Successfully identify opportunities to enhance existing IT processes and collaborate with process owners to introduce efficiencies.

  • Successfully identify and articulate options to stakeholders and influence decisions based on facts and analysis.

  • Establish and sustain relationships with critical subsidiary execution teams, including senior leaders, track leads, IT support, and other corporate partners, and P&O.

  • Solicit, elaborate, and communicate requirements and/or issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Contribute with all internal IT communications and activities with Information Security, P&O, Finance, IT fulfillment teams and IT infrastructure teams.

  • Contribute solutions as a subject matter expert by corresponding with regional counterparts and developing a global governance and shared services operating model.

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in IT or related technical professions

  • Experience supporting and implementing physical security technologies (physical access control and video management systems, etc.) preferred.

  • Experience with evaluating technical risks and impacts in terms of data privacy and information security preferred.

  • Demonstrate business acumen to effectively communicate with IT and business partners of varying organizational levels.

  • Strong requirements gathering and functional specification documentation skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in driving project teams from inception through implementation, with the ability to successfully design and direct project testing and quality assurance processes.

  • Proficient data analysis skills and the ability to evaluate, manipulate, and solution based on complex data sets.

  • Experience with the principles and practices of project management (Project Charters, Cost Benefit Analysis, GANT and RACI charts, etc.)

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent education required.

  • Agile/Scrum Experience (if not, training will be provided).

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
