Copeland Vice President, Finance in Cudahy, Wisconsin

If you are an ambitious and expert finance leader with a desire to help build a world-class and globally competitive business under support of a leading global investment business, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The VP Finance will report directly to Senior VP Finance and work in collaboration with the Business Unit VP / GM. The VP of Finance will be an integral part of the leadership team in our high-growth, high-transformation company to contend as a global leader in the industrial compression space. This role will collaborate heavily with all business functions and across the enterprise and act as a strategic partner to advise actions that progresses the company towards its goals and achieve its value propositions. The candidate must have a broad range of experience, strong business acumen, be detail oriented, change agility and operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization. We are a solutions company focused on becoming global leaders to aid in the transition to sustainability in core industry.

AS THE VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE, YOU WILL :

  • Lead, coach, and mentor Finance personnel, and assist with recruitment and onboarding of new talent, building a strong and knowledgeable team who are thoroughly conversant with the immediate financial structure and prepared for larger and more sophisticated responsibilities within the division and the company.

  • Be a forward-looking partner, who promotes and implements a strategy to help the company achieve its goals, and collaborate with leaders across functions and across business units.

  • Be a change champion, who stays on top of change and can adjust as issues arise.

  • Apply financial modeling tools to build effective strategies through technology solutions.

  • Conduct risk assessments to prevent crises or limit the impact of a crisis, and collaborate in the evaluation of major issues such as acquisitions, data systems, plant rationalizations, etc.

  • Create and drive the company’s monthly, quarterly, annual, and five-year financial plans and goals, and monitor all financial activities within the operating unit to ensure sound financial decisions and to assist management in generating, interpreting, and applying broad company policies, controls, and plans in keeping with company objectives.

  • Aggressively pursue areas of profit improvement and counsel management, as needed, to ensure effective management of assets and resources, and identify opportunities for productivity and improved service levels.

  • Measure, interpret, and report the actual financial results of the company to executive management.

  • Maintain relationships with appropriate corporate financial executives and ensure the timely and accurate completion and submission of required financial reports.

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours:

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of increasingly responsible financial management experience, which must include responsibility for and experience with multi-plant operation, foreign (Europe, Asia, Americas) operations, full controllership (VP Finance) responsibilities, and treasury and audit

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, or equivalent productivity suites, currently in use by the company

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and well-developed people skills with a proactive and high-energy style

  • High-degree of tact and judgment with contacts both inside and outside; must possess unquestionable ethical and personal standards

  • Ability to travel globally as needed; Legal authorization to work in the United States- Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Previous experience working with a private equity firm strongly desired

  • MBA, CPA, and/or direct senior executive-level experience in a major corporation's financial management program
