Job Overview

We are hiring an Operations System Specialist to join our winning team!

The Operations Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting the Operations Manager by using data and analytics to improve manufacturing processes and providing support to overall Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

A Day In The Life

  • Design and develop systems and processes tools to track and optimize productivity and performance to ensure effective return on assets

  • Provide support for Manufacturing Execution System

  • Assist with executing plant safety goals and help strategic planning annually

  • Develop spreadsheets and utilize Business Intelligence (PowerBI) for operational reporting

  • Analyze actual performance data against standard targets

  • Be a conduit between Manufacturing Operations, Hubbell IT, and 3rd party software companies as needed

  • Perform root cause analysis of system issues and implement corrective actions

  • Analyze equipment use and plant processes for efficiency, initiate recommendations for improvement

  • Complete all assigned tasks and assist with day-to-day operations as needed

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Experience in Manufacturing Operations preferred

  • Bachelors Degree preferred; may consider combination of working experience and 2-year college degree or technical certification

  • General working knowledge or experience with LabView, C#, SQL Server, VB.NET preferred

  • High degree of proficiency in Excel along with other relevant computer skills is needed

  • Excellent communication skills, both on the plant floor and in executive office preferred

  • Demonstrated initiative and desire to drive change with motivation to exceed expectations

  • Analytical experience using data to make decisions

  • Manufacturing Execution System experience a plus; ShopVue preferred
