Snap-on\'s Product Center is currently hiring certified VNA forklift drivers for 3rd shift positions in our Crystal Lake warehouse (core hours are Sunday through Thursday from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am plus overtime). The VNA drivers will operate order pickers and swing reach trucks, both of which operate on a wire-guided system.

Responsibilities

  • Transport materials to different locations within the facility.
  • Optimize loads to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Secure loads to the machine before transportation.
  • Complete daily inspection of equipment and any fall arrest equipment.
  • Operate and manage technical equipment.
  • Manage inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.
  • Pick orders for shipment.
  • Identify workplace safety hazards.
  • Adhere to safety management standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/equivalent or at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift hours plus mandatory overtime.
  • 6+ months of warehouse and forklift experience.
  • Valid VNA forklift certification.
  • Must be willing to operate VNA forklifts where you will be raised up to 25 ft. in the air.
  • Ability to work with others.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to read, write, and do simple math.
  • Great interpersonal communication skills.
  • Dependable and flexible.
