Iron County Medical Care Facility Housekeeping Aide in Crystal Falls, Michigan

The Iron County Medical Care Facility (ICMCF) seeks a part-time Housekeeping Aide *to join their team in *Crystal Falls, Michigan. The ideal candidate for this position is able to collaborate with other staff and has the physical ability to clean, lift heavy objects, and service assigned areas.

WHAT WE OFFER.

  • $17.67 per hour starting wage (includes direct care worker supplement); increase to $18.09 after 6 months.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

  • Clean and service wards, rooms, bathtubs and shower stalls, recreational rooms, offices, hallways, dining areas, etc.
  • Clean and mop floors.
  • Dust furniture and equipment.
  • Clean windows and windowsills, empty trash receptacles, and arrange furniture/equipment.
  • Scour and polish brass, sinks, mirrors, and similar equipment.
  • Replenish supplies in housekeeping closets and stock rooms; keep in clean orderly fashion.
  • Comply with hygiene and infection control standards established by the facility.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be in good mental and physical condition, able and willing to perform heavy lifting of objects up to 50 pounds, and complete tedious physical chores.
  • Previous cleaning experience desired, but not required. On-the-job training provided.
  • Must know how to use common household cleaning devices such as vacuums, brooms, mops, floor waxes, and scouring pads.
  • Ability to learn and use power cleaning tools such as floor machines, steamers, and sanitizing equipment.
  • Ability to take initiative and deliver exceptional customer service and care to the
