Credence Management Solutions, LLC Financial Operations Analyst in Crystal City, Virginia

This position is in the Technical Management Division (TMD) of Defense Integrated Business Systems (DIBS) Program Management Office (PMO). Provide FinOps expertise to the TMD team supporting the systems and leadership within the portfolio. DIBS is comprised of several key programs: Army Contract Writing System (ACWS), which is an Army wide program currently in development to establish a common software program for contract writing; Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) the Army’s tactical logistics system; Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), a program that is currently in sustainment and facilitates logistics transactions with the Army’s Working Capital Fund (ACWF) and lastly, General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) unclassified and Sensitive Activities (SA), which support all Army appropriated funds financial transactions. 

  • Possess superior financial and technical expertise and a problem-solving aptitude, knowledgeable and customer-centric with strong attention to details 

  • Extensive experience in FinOps interpretation, consultation and optimization 

  • Deep understanding of AWS cost calculations and the interrelationship between virtual assets and their associated expenses  

  • A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver results in the absence of formal guidance 

Duties 

  • Possess excellent computer skills and the ability to create high-value deliverables, including but not limited to monthly performance and technical reports, ad hoc reports, presentations, graphics, whitepapers, and executive summaries to senior leaders and stakeholders  

  • Analyze, determine and resolve process problems that contribute to business, governance and technical enterprise inefficiencies  

  • Analyze and regularly report on how hardware network and software capabilities and changes in architecture components create changes in costs  

  • Develop Analysis of Alternatives (AOA), Courses of Action (COA), trade studies, resource assessments and peer reviews technical recommendations  

  • Capture and translate individual program requirements/needs into enterprise level requirements and solutions. 

  • Support other team members with high visibility requests and projects as needed 

Required Education & Experience 

  • Active DoD Secret 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management Information Systems 

  • FinOps Practitioner Certification 

  • 8+ years of technical and/or financial operations experience in IT or a related industry 

  • 2+ years of U.S. Army or other DoD experience 

  • 3+ years of experience working in or supporting an AWS cloud computing environment 

Required Skills & Abilities 

  • Strong client relationship and management skills  

  • Ability and desire to keep up with industry best practices, IT trends and innovation including cloud computing and financial technologies 

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in an integrated team with local and remote team members  

  • Ability to maintain flexible work hours (work hours are consistent but occasional ad hoc requirements may necessitate flexible hours) 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • General knowledge of the following applications and concepts: 

  • ServiceNow Information Technology Business Management (ITBM) 

  • Amazon Web Services  

  • Waterfall vs SAFe and other Agile methodologies
