Job description

We're a company that builds products in multiple locations and we're currently looking for a Tig Welder. We offer competitive pay and benefits, and we're looking for people who are passionate about their work, can multi-task effectively, and have experience operating TIG welding equipment.

Responsibilities:

Must be skilled in TIG welding process with materials ranging from stainless and steel to aluminum.

Experience in MIG also of interest.

Must be proficient in Layout, Tacking, Welding, Grinding and finishing. Experience with hand power tools such as a grinders and cutting tools helpful. Must be willing to work in all areas of metal fabrication is workload varies, not just welding.

Strong understanding in print reading/ weld symbols to accurately build products to specified tolerances. Must be able to work within a team based environment to accomplish all aspects of welding and fabrication. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, conversions of fractions and decimals.

A firm knowledge with welding safety and OSHA requirements will be required. Must be able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment and lift up to 50lbs.

  • Weld relatively large pieces of high-carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Generate electricity using arc welding equipment.
  • Use welding equipment.
  • Remove excess material from metals to make them acceptable for welding.
  • Be familiar with the basic concepts of electricity.
  • Work in a loud environment with a large amount of smoke.
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time.
