The Production Manager of the Electronics Circuit Board manufacturing area. They should become technical experts for electronics board manufacturing. Manage over 30 people a-z including efficiency, attendance, reviews and much more.. Manage highly automated electronics manufacturing including Surface Mount Technology (SMT) , AOI, Through-Hole and a variety manual and automated soldering processes. Provide strong technical management and experience in all relevant types of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies. Be able to manage the troubleshooting and testing of both components, boards and assemblies.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Manage a staff to deliver electronic product on time with good cost and quality.

· Manage and coordinate complex receipt of electronic components, the manufacture of circuit boards, and the timely shipment of quality products.

· Evaluate current manufacturing practices, identify and manage improvements.

· Manage production schedules and coordinate services to maximize productivity.

· Enforce quality control to reduce waste.

· Assign work to employees and manage them A to Z

· Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.

· Communicating regularly regarding problems or issues impacting production.

· Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.

· Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs.

· Setting goals for each manufacturing team.

· Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.

· Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff.

· Manage all people issues A to Z including resolving concerns, conflict resolution, performance, attendance, tardiness, and rewards like raises or promotions.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications and Skills

· An Electrical Engineering degree with focus on electronics is highly recommended.

· Experience fabricating, troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards.

· Hands on knowledge and experience with all types of manual and automated soldering.

· Strong experience performing, managing testing all types of soldering, circuit boards and multiple electro- mechanical devices.

· Be able to program and operate Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) 2D and 3D equipment and use efficiently for inspection of circuit boards.

· Experience running wave and select solder equipment lead and lead free.

· Experience with SMT assembly including pick and place, reflow profiling, and x ray inspection.

· Top tier computer skills, especially ERP systems like SAP and intermediate Excel

· Strong proven leadership to manage and motivate others to optimal performance.

· Ability to adjust to changing resources and output requirements.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary. They must be aware of a business's needs while making technical recommendations understandable.

· Good leadership skills to manage and implement productivity changes. The ability to develop relationships with coworkers is useful when making recommendations.

· Strong analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data. They also use these skills to create reports and describe the results to company decision-makers.

· Great eyesight correcta le to 20/20. Great hand eye coordination to work with small parts.

Working Conditions

Fast paced, great variety of work with constant deadlines. Industrial environment with occasional dust, noise, etc., with protective equipment needed occasionally. Job may require lifting up to 50 lbs. Must have reliable transportation. Be willing and able to work overtime up to 15%. Able to work in an environment not air conditioned in summers. We seek individuals that are flexible team members not bounded by narrow job descriptions.
