This position has the overall responsibility for performing in process and final inspection of cable/connector assemblies/ etc. Recording the results, and assisting assembly personnel as required. In addition to primary inspection activities, the inspector will also maintain and revise inspection documentation as required and communicate with co-workers and management to resolve quality related issues.

Qualifications

· High school or equivalent (Preferred)

· Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)

· Quality control: 1 year (Preferred)

· ISO 9001: 1 year (Preferred)

· IPC 610: 1 year (Preferred)

· Precision measuring instruments: 1 year (Preferred)

· Day Shift (Preferred)

· Work authorization (Preferred)

Responsibilities

· Need to be willing to learn and be trained in knowledge of IPC 610 / IPC 620 Standards, customer workmanship standards and ISO Requirements. Will need to inspect various electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, components, and parts for conformance to customer specifications by performing the following duties.

· Must be able to read and interpret blue prints.

· Will need to coordinate and prioritize daily activity for inspection within the cell.

· Examines layout and installation of wiring, cables, subassemblies, hardware, and components to detect assembly errors.

· Must have full knowledge of how to set up, use and explain the Cirris tester.

· Must be able to understand what a good crimp is and what a good solder joint should look like.

· Will need to perform first PC inspection, be able to use micrometers to measure crimp heights, perform pull tests and perform in-process inspection.

· There will be data entry on the computer of quality defects and in-process findings.

· Examines production documents, in accordance with specifications, to ensure that all assembly, inspecting, and testing steps were performed according to specifications.

· Must be able to identify areas of improvement through the review of the assembly process and inspection steps that are in place.

· Always maintains professional demeanor and work within the guidelines of the company policies and standards.
