Job Summary:

We are seeking a Director of Quality and Food Safety/Environmental Manager to lead our company's safety, quality, and environmental initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety and quality management systems and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a comprehensive quality and safety program that meets all regulatory requirements while improving overall organizational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement food safety, quality management systems, and environmental programs

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

  • Manage and train quality and safety staff

  • Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies

  • Conduct internal audits and develop corrective action plans

  • Develop and implement supplier quality management programs

  • Manage customer complaints and implement corrective actions

  • Develop and maintain product specifications and ensure product quality

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Develop and maintain HACCP and environmental management systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Environmental Science, or related field

  • 7+ years of experience in food safety, quality, and environmental management

  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and standards (FDA, USDA, ISO, etc.)

  • Experience in HACCP, GMP, and environmental management systems

  • Experience in managing a team and leading projects

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
