Cuyuna Regional Medical Center * Pain Clinic Crosby, MN Professional Patient Care Full Time, 8-hour Day Shift FTE: 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) Weekend Requirements: No weekends Posted 02/17/2023 Req # 11940 POSITION SUMMARY CRMC is seeking to hire a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Interventional Pain team. This position will support our two physicians in Crosby and also have independent clinic in our outreach locations in Breezy Point and Baxter. Currently, two APPs work in this service line and we are looking to add one more position. CRMC is a critical access hospital with multiple surgical and non-surgical specialties and a robust hospitalist team to serve our patients. You will be responsible for performing procedure follow-ups, new patient consultations, medication follow-ups, and potentially assisting the physicians in the OR. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and successful completion of accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program. License/Certificates: National certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs. Minnesota PA license required. Will need to obtain DEA and ACLS or CALS if not already done Special Skills and Aptitudes: Adjusts to stressful situations with confidence and good judgment Must possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Effective interpersonal relationship skills including good listening and communication skills Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles of administration in the changing healthcare environment Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and appropriately Ability to handle/operate medical instruments required for physical exams, surgical procedures and computer hardware/software ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with documentation, orders, and patient education for procedures, post-op care Perform clinic and ultrasound guided injections Help coordinate surgical planning of product reps, surgery date and equipment, if necessary Assist in peer-to-peer review with insurance companies Order appropriate diagnostic tests (i.e., imaging, labs, etc) for hospital and clinic patients Complete all documentation timely, efficiently and in its entirety in compliance with Meaningful Use for hospital and clinic patients Full time position with typically four 10-hour days but may vary depending on case load so flexibility in daily schedule is required Initiate referrals as appropriate consulting with supervising physician Accurately complete all patient notes within 48 hours and forward completed documentation to supervising provider for signature Assist supervising provider with completion of their tasks and assist with paperwork and forms as directed by the physician Why Cuyuna Regional Medical Center?
