We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in programming CNC vertical mills with 3-axis, 4th, and 5th axis capabilities.

Position Overview: As a CNC Programmer at WPMT, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. Your primary responsibilities will include programming parts for CNC vertical mills, measuring and loading tool data into the controls, identifying tooling requirements for upcoming jobs, first part setup, troubleshooting, and assisting operators to ensure smooth production flow.

Key Responsibilities: - Program parts for CNC vertical mills, focusing primarily on 3-axis operations with 4th and 5th axis capabilities. - Measure and load tool data accurately into the controls. - Identify tooling requirements for upcoming jobs. - Perform first part setups to ensure quality and efficiency. - Troubleshoot any programming or machine issues to minimize downtime. - Assist operators with any production hold-ups or challenges. - Organize and plan time effectively to reduce downtime at CNC machines. - Collaborate with the production team to optimize processes and workflows.

Qualifications: - Previous experience programming CNC vertical mills with 3-axis, 4th, and 5th axis capabilities. - Deep understanding of how CNC vertical mills function. - Strong knowledge of CNC programming software and tooling. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Organized with the ability to plan time effectively. - Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications: - Certification or degree in CNC programming or related field. - Experience in a manufacturing environment. - Familiarity with other CNC machines and equipment.
