Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The role involves duties related to the successful operation of the finance department, with an emphasis on accounts payable transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and recording accounts payable transactions with high accuracy

• Conducting research as needed for resolving any discrepancies in accounts payable transactions

• Preparing and entering journal entries to keep financial records up-to-date

• Facilitating check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors

• Implementing safety policies, practices, and procedures, and maintaining housekeeping standards

• Utilizing skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Data Entry, and Check Runs for efficient task completion

• Monitoring customer accounts and initiating appropriate actions to ensure account accuracy

• Upholding department's operational standards and contributing to the overall financial operations of the team. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and software

• Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail

• Experience with check runs and managing payment schedules

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Familiarity with financial software systems

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies

• A keen eye for process improvement within Accounts Payable operations

• Adherence to professional ethics and company policies.
