RMC is hiring multiple System Administrators to support IT work at NSWC Crane. The selected applicants will work independently to provide quality solutions in support of RDT&E network connected and/or standalone laboratories. Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to, supporting system integration in an RDT&E environment, troubleshooting, patching, configuration management, and maintaining various lab applications. Other duties the selected applicant may be responsible for include:
Monitoring server performance and take appropriate corrective actions to resolve issues
System hardening per DoD standards and generate necessary artifacts. This may include patch management, vulnerability remediation, and application of STIGS
Storage Administration
Virtual Machine Configuration/Administration
Microsoft NAP/Radius Authentication
HBSS Management
Troubleshooting of computer software and hardware issues
Installation, maintenance, and removal of specialized software on windows workstations
Maintenance of software and hardware inventory information assurance compliance Support
Creating/maintaining documentation/diagrams of computer systems/Network Environments
Research COTS and open source software products
Active Directory Administration
Linux Administration is highly desired
Experience with Microsoft System Center or SCCM highly desired
Three (3) years of experience in IT is required. A Security+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent DoD 8570.01 IAT-2 or IAT-3 certification is required.
Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
