RMC is hiring multiple System Administrators to support IT work at NSWC Crane. The selected applicants will work independently to provide quality solutions in support of RDT&E network connected and/or standalone laboratories. Responsibilities in this position include, but are not limited to, supporting system integration in an RDT&E environment, troubleshooting, patching, configuration management, and maintaining various lab applications. Other duties the selected applicant may be responsible for include:

  • Monitoring server performance and take appropriate corrective actions to resolve issues

  • System hardening per DoD standards and generate necessary artifacts. This may include patch management, vulnerability remediation, and application of STIGS

  • Storage Administration

  • Virtual Machine Configuration/Administration

  • Microsoft NAP/Radius Authentication

  • HBSS Management

  • Troubleshooting of computer software and hardware issues

  • Installation, maintenance, and removal of specialized software on windows workstations

  • Maintenance of software and hardware inventory information assurance compliance Support

  • Creating/maintaining documentation/diagrams of computer systems/Network Environments

  • Research COTS and open source software products

  • Active Directory Administration

  • Linux Administration is highly desired

  • Experience with Microsoft System Center or SCCM highly desired

    Three (3) years of experience in IT is required. A Security+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent DoD 8570.01 IAT-2 or IAT-3 certification is required.

    Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
