Amentum Radiation Facilities Engineer in Crane, Indiana

Amentum is a trusted partner to United States government agencies, allied governments, and corporations worldwide supporting critical programs across a broad range of domains. We are currently looking for a Senior Radiation Technician to support Strategic Microelectronics at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and repair the Flash X-Ray (FXR) necessitated by machine status and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements.

  • Maintain FXR component testing excellence through the constant monitoring of electronic equipment calibration and performance.

  • Assist in the development of detailed laboratory test procedures and equipment operating procedures. These procedures are to be written at a level to provide adequate direction to other operators so that tests can be reliably, consistently, and safely performed.

  • Provide deliverable in the form of monthly contractor progress, status, and management report.

  • Provide deliverable in the form of monthly contractor fund and expenditure report.

  • Provide deliverable in the form of a semi-annual/annual report to NSWC Crane

  • Provide technical deliverables in appropriate format to NSWC Crane personnel.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline and at least 15 years of job-related experience or equivalent

  • Experience troubleshooting stalled or failed control systems

  • Experience with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) processes and procedures

  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and software as well as mechanical, electrical, and electronic skills

  • Good written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required

  • Independent hands-on experience with Oscilloscopes and Power Supplies

  • Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance that would require U.S. citizenship
