Description

SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician IV in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Provides technical support for AEA systems/platforms to include the modification, maintenance, repair, and upgrade (MRU) of fielded EW systems and related Support Equipment.

  • Test and evaluate AEA and related systems, subsystems, equipment and components

  • Conduct routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing; in-line repair and testing; operation of test equipment

  • Prepare inputs for test plans/Review test plans and procedures

  • Conduct or monitor system, subsystem, equipment or component testing

  • Analyze test results/determine valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data.

  • Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; develop information concerning previous operational failures and modifications and use judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's Degree in related discipline and at least 4 years of related experience; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of related experience

  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; Interim Secret required to start

  • Must be willing to obtain a soldering certification after hire

  • Must be able to work from schematics and engineering drawings

  • Must have the ability to investigate and troubleshoot problems in operational hardware and software

  • Data entry experience
