Sr. Software Engineer with the following duties:1.Design, develop, prototyping, modeling, tuning, integrations and delivery of highly efficient & readily available big data processing systems for turning data into actionable insights using: SnowFlake, Phoenix, Hive, Hadoop, MongoDB, Flink, Alteryx, MapReduce, Hana, HBase, Spark, Python, Scala, Impala, Ruby, Java, Python, SQL, R, SQL database, Cloud Computing, Presto, Looker, Docker and AWS services so that to process terabytes of data with an emphasis on performance, reliability and scalability.2.Design, develop & deploy data visualizations and insight solutions for clients on SAP Crystal Reports, Tableau, Qlik, Google Charts, Infogram, Fusioncharts, Google Data Studio, Looker, Sisense and Microsoft’s SSRS & PowerBI platforms.3.Develop & deploy data integrations using SSIS, Kafka, NiFi, Storm, Kinesis, Talend, Flume, Sqoop, Matillion and Samza.4.Implement, Support, Monitor and ensure Data Quality measures on all software products using data quality framework of Alation.5.Perform technical architecture assessment & functional requirements analysis for big data & visualization solutions.6.Develop and extend technical design processes/standards so that products comply with industry standards and develop reusable components for various big data functions.7.Contribute to our big data team responsible for developing big data products by evaluating emerging big data technologies. Collaborate with various teams to design, develop and integrate new technology solutions and review technical designs with team members. Maintain central repository of knowledgebase for each project.8.Provide production support for software systems and applications and support in performance testing.9.Update team members & management on work progress and technical knowledge for use in the development process. Provide status and progress reporting for assigned tasks to supervisors and project managers. Work with project/program managers to establish effort and schedule estimates, maintain healthy backlogs, timely and accurate Status reporting, Liaison with stake holders to resolve all issues, mitigate any risks.10.Coordinate development activities of other developers.
