DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Director of Product Management - Paint, you will lead the strategy for the PPG Architectural Coatings Paint portfolio. You will develop product strategy and executable product roadmaps to deliver sustainable growth and margin expansion for the product portfolio.

Main activities for the role include the following: increasing sales and margin expansion, product roadmap development, portfolio management, multi-generational product planning, go-to-market tools and support, end-of-life product line management, and complexity analysis and reduction.

You will work a hybrid schedule in Cranberry Twp, PA and report to the Director of Product Management, Marketing and Pricing.

Key Responsibilities Align product development portfolio to business strategy, and lead initiatives prioritization:  * Perform a comprehensive review of the product offerings, market and competitive landscape, sales support tools, new product development programs, and value propositions, with the end result of providing a gap recommendation for overcoming identified gaps to achieve organic growth and margin expansion.  * Review the current global portfolio and identify important gaps affecting PPG's value proposition to customers.  * Prioritize and make recommendations to develop action plans that align with the strategic direction of the business. Change would be visible in product portfolio, overall value of the portfolio, complexity reduction and incremental sales growth would be obtained.

Build clear product roadmaps that align with business segments and technologies:  * Ascertain clear understanding of business segments and strategies.  * Well-versed in macro-trends of the market /product segments. Partner with the technical, marketing and portfolio management organization, develop a multigenerational product roadmap inclusive of applicable items to obtain differentiation in the market(s).

Identify and guide complexity reduction initiatives:  * Partner with the portfolio management, marketing and operations teams to identify and guide complexity reduction initiatives with quantifiable impact to the business.

Update/develop multi-regional multi-generational product/platform plans (MGPP):  * Demonstrate an understanding of market and product strategy, macro trends and gaps within PPG's Architectural A&S portfolio. In partnership with the technical, marketing and portfolio management organization, develop a multigenerational product roadmap.

Qualifications  * A Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline; MBA preferred.  * At least 10 years of experience in a product management, strategic marketing or technical marking role with at least five (5) of those years of in a senior product management, or business management role.  * Proficiency in product marketing including product life cycle management, new product launches, portfolio rationalization and long-term product planning.
