Flint Hills Resources Damage Prevention Coordinator in Cottage Grove, Minnesota

Your Job Flint Hills Resources is currently seeking a Damage Prevention Coordinator to join our team at the Cottage Grove facility in Minnesota. While the primary focus will be in Minnesota, this role will also involve duties in Wisconsin and Iowa as necessary. The Damage Prevention Coordinator is tasked with accurately locating pipelines, ensuring safe excavations around them, inspecting Right-of-Way, and managing contractors responsible for vegetation clearance. Additionally, responsibilities include inputting data into various computer programs, receiving assignments through work management systems, and contributing to the management of small projects. This role also offers a flexible 9/80 work schedule, meaning there is the potential for every other Friday off depending on workload or potential plant needs. Our Team The team you will be working with consists of 3 other Damage Prevention Coordinators. Our team covers Damage Prevention activities for our pipelines around our Pine Bend Refinery in Rosemount, MN and our area of coverage extends from the north metro area down to the Iowa border. Managing landowner interactions, including face-to-face meetings and follow-up activities Facilitating and managing landowner agreements as needed Installing Right-of-Way signage and pipeline markers Enhancing landowners' awareness of damage prevention and emergency preparedness/response Building and maintaining relationships with landowners along the pipeline ROW Traveling up to 90% during the day, with occasional overnight stays Residing within a 60-minute drive of the Cottage Grove, MN facility Providing detailed depth of cover information and/or maps to affected stakeholders as needed We offer a company vehicle, tools, uniforms, and training for this role. In the event of unplanned events or system call-outs, you must be available for on-call rotations during selected nights and weekends, as required. Team members may occasionally travel (with overnight stays) for regular duties, training, meetings, or short-term assistance at other locations. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and the ability to learn and use proprietary databases Ability to meet physical requirements for the role Valid driver's license Physical Requirements: Physical ability to frequently stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, reach, handle, bend, twist, climb and balance Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, DOT drug screen, and pre-hire HAZWOPER physical Ability & willingness to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (for example: hard hat, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing, respirator, safety work boots, etc. as required) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (with frequent carrying of up to 25 pounds) Ability to respond to audio alarms, or other loud noises that would indicate a safety concern Must be able to communicate hazardous conditions and other dangers Must be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions throughout the year Must be available for an on-call rotation including nights, weekends & holidays What Will Put You Ahead Experience in Agriculture Previous experience locating pipelines or any other underground facilities One year of experience in the petroleum or chemical industry This role is subject to a pre-hire medical test This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
