ManpowerGroup Commissioning Engineer in Cottage Grove, Minnesota

Our client, a multinational leader in providing automation solutions for packaging, distributing, and processing food and beverage products, is seeking an Automation Commissioning Engineer to their impactful team!

As an Automation Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing and developing filtration processes and process controls. This includes (but is not limited to) performing complete system I/O checks, developing PLC/HMI programs per customer specifications, on-site commissioning and managing multiple system projects as required.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least three (3) years of professional experience in automation or process control. Job

Title: Automation Commissioning Engineer

Location: Minneapolis, MN (55316)

Compensation: $40.00-$60.00/hr.

Technical Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Optimize and develop membrane filtration processes and process control.

  • Perform complete system I/O check prior to shipment to confirm proper wiring and airline terminations per project documents (P&ID, Electrical, Pneumatic and so on).

  • Develop PLC and HMI programs/software utilizing P&ID, Electrical and Pneumatic drawing documents, customer specifications and associated project documents and/or information.

  • Take direction and assist as required the senior Automation Engineering staff for project development and implementation during the development phase at our Minneapolis location.

  • Travel to customer site membrane to conduct system I/O checks, pre-commissioning start up and final full commissioning of membrane systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple membrane system projects as required.

  • Attend both onsite and offsite training sessions and/or meetings as required or requested.

  • Provide both written and verbal status reports on projects as required/requested.

  • Maintain a professional attitude and working relationship with colleagues and customers.
